What are the cons of using a 9mm can on a 22 magnum?
Very low effectiveness at sound reduction.
Then again, .22 Mag is never going to be quiet.
Life is too serious to take too seriously.

Your going to have the sonic "crack" with a 22 Mag. with any suppresser....not as efficient in sound reduction as a suppresser with a 22 caliber end cap....would be a good idea to use a suppresser that can be dissembled for cleaning if using rimfire ammo....
Most all 22 wmr is supersonic even from the pistols, except the 50gr game shok. You'll get good suppression, probably in the 130db ish range, but the supersonic crack will still be there.
Being rimfire, I would expect it to dirty your can quicker.
