    .223/5.56 Availability?

I guess it's a good thing I don't need any .223/5.56 today - I'm not seeing much availability. Being somewhat new to this caliber, what are good prices on bulk (1,000 rounds)? And where do you shop for good deals?

My info might be old but 31˘/rd with shipping seems to be what I remember.

I've got 12,000+ rounds of 5.56 shipping in. Check my posts in the commercial section.

That's about right but now most online retailers are collecting sales tax so with that and shipping is closer to 35 cents a round.

do you want surplys, new commercial etc? Steel, brass, do you even care ?

    its out there, https://www.wikiarms.com/group/223

Shipping is often pretty modest almost flat rate, getting ripped off on two boxes, becomes a real deal two buy two ammo cans full at 17 cents per round and modest shipping fee.

Yep, here we go again. My thoughts exactly. I don't know why, but 2 weeks ago I came across some good prices on .223 / 5.56 and ordered 2K rounds, then another 2K rounds plus 2K in 9mm. Timing couldn't have been better. I am now officially out of room for anymore ammo.

Is it just me, or has prices spiked? I usually use ammoseek.com to find the best price, and I don’t remember even the steel cased stuff being over $0.20/rnd.

I did, however, find some golden tiger (sealed/ lacquered) 7.62x39 for $0.18/rnd. That’s the cheapest I’ve seen that in a while......but I did buy the last case they had in stock.

EDIT: it looks like Tula is spiking now too on the x39 side. Over $0.20/rnd now.
