According to a sales rep from Federal ammunition, this is directly related to ammo manufacturer's contracts to supply nato ammo. Apparently this is a scheduled/previously known shortage known by manufacturer's for a long time.

Seems like the manufacturer's handled this situation poorly. I may make a trip to the range and burn some ammo to calm my frustrations. Stack it deep

Well Cabela's is complete out of all popular calibers. Fully stocked 1 1/2 weeks ago. I have located 9mm ammo for .35 per round for the Tula - this is the beginning of a new shortage due to mass panic. Just like last time....

There is a shortage. Distributors are out of all popular calibers. Things are crazy right now. 9mm and 223/556 seem to be the hardest to locate.

Thanks for the advice. I did order some, probably not enough, but it should last me a while.

Ammunitionstore.com in Ohio looks to still have some quantities available. Prices aren't fabulous, but not too bad.

They are the worst of the worst. Horrible. I'm glad I never purchased anything from them.
If at first you don't succeed, don't skydive.
