Opinions or comments on Sig Sauer P229 Legion Compact 9mm?

Looking at picking one up. Thoughts? Comments?

I'm an easy sale on sigs, I say go for it.

Only reason not to is the price, if you can pick up a CPO SIG for $500 and throw a srt kit in it if it doesn't have one. Possible throw on some night sights or hogue grips. I have seen CPO as cheap as $399.

Other than price no reason not to grab one.

I don't have a 229 Legion but I do have a P226 Legion in 9mm - I also have an M11-A1 that I got used for an excellent price, and sent it to Sig for an Action job.

I love them both, both have the srt trigger which is really nice. The Legion front sight is really easy to get spoiled with. Personally I'll say you can't go wrong. If you're on the East side you are welcome to try mine and see if you like them.

I have owned several P226s (both German and US made) and one P239 and have regretted selling every damn one of them. I can't attest to the new crop of strikers but love me some classic SA/DA. I say go for it!

I've owned P226's and a P229. I think the P229 felt better in my hand and seemed to balance better than the P226.

    1. It's a sig
    2. It's a legion
    3. It's a P22x series

End of story - go for it..You'll love it.

My favorite Sig up until I picked up a 228, was my M11-A1. Both were purchased used for 5-550, no way would I pay retail on a new Sig. You can find new close out models for 6-650, that people ask 900 for on gunjoker.

Not sure what dealer cost is on a new one, but this sure beats 1199.00!
