People fish from kayaks all the time with proper ppe. I would never do it during the run. To many people on half plane going through the pack tossing a huge wake. Just goto center of the river motor all the way up and go back to start of your run. I'll be out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

I see people as well in sea kayaks walleye fishing w/ ppe all the time. I wouldn't recommend it ...but they do. A canoe is a death sentence

They closed Tippy Dam recreation area because it was to busy.

Yeah canada has closed fishing from shore and most ramps to the river. I'll be out Saturday morning by myself plan on launching out of lemp. Hear lizzy park is closed.....might have my son dropped off after day break, sucks I cant fish with my uncle, but I'm gonna follow the rules. Im less then 10 miles to the river so shouldn't get hassled by anyone, I'm Hearing of good reports from friends, so I gotta scratch the jigging itch
