    M1 carbine in .45 cal

    So I picked this up and did even the bore size .45 fits snug but a acp is too short. I found on web some were converted to 45 win mag.qny info on value or history would be appreciated.probably be available.pic is a .30 round in boreAttachment 86978Attachment 86979

    It may be a 45 lemag,done in Michigan bur a guy named Larry.

    Yes, most likely 45 WinMag.
    Keep me in mind, would go great with my Automag IV's.

    Le mag modified standard USGI mags by welding the two protrusions stamped on the back of the mags (these protrusions are what the mag catch hold to keep the mags locked in the mag well). He then ground the weld area down so the protrusions were standard size, but are now solid metal not just a stamped out dimple. Standard mags will work but LeMag said the will not hold up to repeated use. LeMag also offered to convert M1 carbines to 50 AE.
