I have a couple Athlon scopes on personal rifles, and they are great for the money. I have sold a few to customers who were very pleased for the price point. Very affordable scopes that perform well.

If you want to spend some more time looking into the review yourself, you can look it up on youtube and some very reputable optics site that reviews various optics. Cheers.

    Athlon & Axeon

I have 6 Athlon Aeres https://athlonoptics.com/product/are...ffp-ir-mil-hd/ for $425 NIB & 2 https://athlonoptics.com/product/rif...mr-ffp-ir-mil/ for $275 NIB when someone ordered too heavy grease & the clicks wern't audable enough for some. This explains it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC1C...hannel=TheHide Takes 10 minutes to Q tip the old grease put & put lighter in. I called Athlon & ask if there was any differense between the Gen 1 & 2 he said one small pc was changed from brass to stainless but you'll never notice any differense. If your Argos doesn't have a zero stop here's what to do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zge...l=Athlonoptics
Here's something else I'm trying out you can get at Midway or Amazon for $59 https://www.axeonoptics.com/axeon-second-zero
It goes on the scope & I'm trying the one that adds 11.5 MOA about 450 yards added just by closing a ftont lens like a scope cap, they make a 4.3MOA & a rail mounted one that flips up & you can use more than one to extennd your range. The Canadion Sniper that held the record for a short time had a $1400 unit on his rifle, I use Mils so I just convert. Here are reviews

a friend had the cheaper one on his 22. First one was a dud. It was replaced fairly quickly and its a $150 scope, not much else to say about it. I would probably get a primary arms at that price point instead.

Recently same friend picked up the athlon ares ETR in 4.5-30x56, and the glass is somewhat nicer than my vortex viper gen 2. Im considering getting one, downside is the $1000+ scope comes with literally nothing, no sunshade, no bikini caps, not even a printed manual.

As a budget long range scope they seem decent, I did notice his was more prone to fogging from the heat from the barrel than my viper, so that would be something else to deal with..
