    Who’s looking for a project?

Today I picked up my recovered Kahr cw380 that was found on the side of the freeway. Needless to say it needs a little tlc. I think it can’t definitely be brought back to life. I will do what I can at home but would love it if someone wanted to help out. Send me a message and I can send you some pictures. Slide is scraped, grip polymer is scratched and then some. It will be a fun project.

You found a low end handgun on the side of a road. And you checked it out to make sure it is not stolen correct? I know if I found a gun on the side of a road, it was probably used in a killing or at least stolen. Check it out and save yourself some serious headaches. Good Shooting, MOOSE

That's not what he said at all. He said that he received his firearm back that was recovered from alongside the road.

Correct. It already spent some time being thoroughly investigated before being returned to me by the MSP. It might be low end, but it’s still my gun. It’s reliable and inexpensive enough to not be missed but now that it’s back Id like to take care of it.

Have you talked to Kahr to see if they will help restoring it?

Kahr basically said the cost to repair is cost of a new gun. So home repair it is! I know it functions and is only cosmetically damaged. Sanding, lots of sanding and cerakote should have it better.

Hate to hear them go that way-elbow grease and a nice coat of cerakote sounds like a plan.

Agreed! I think it will be a fun project. Sights will be the biggest bugger or so I’ve read. I’ll need a new cerakote guy now though.
