Does anyone have a Springfield Ronin Operator in 45 that can tell me how awful they are and I shouldn't get one?
I want one so bad I can't stop thinking about it.

Don't own a Ronin, but have had a couple of Springfield 1911's..
one for about 40 yrs.. & I still like it.
No experience with the ronin in particular, but when I worked at an FFL I sold A LOT of Springfield 1911’s with no complaints and plenty of praise. Just in handling they felt better fit than many other 1911’s in their price range. A TRP has been on my short list for years.
Thanks guys.
I have 2 SA 1911's already - TRP operator (that some day I'll sell) and an ultra-compact I carry sometimes. The Ronin though is calling my name....just need to find one.
Had one on backorder for months.
The image below is identical to the TRP I have, as there are a couple versions out there, mine is loaded and has the full length rail on the bottom frame.
The thing is a tac driver..probably one of the most accurate things I've shot.
However, I dont like the rail on the bottom and want more of a standard 1911. Also, I dont need the range officer rear site.
It's cheap enough for a 1911, get 1!
I have a Springfield 1911; amazing pistol. Never shot it though
hmm I would have grabbed a stainless no rail, but then once I had it .... I might not sell it.
I was curious if you did not like it or it failed you in some way, good to hear its just a asethic design sorta thing. I do not like sig p 22x with rails either. I mean for the right price I can get on anything, but not looking to put anything on the rail, and it does detract from the looks.
