    Rifle Scope Repair

Is there anywhere in the SEMI area that does rifle scope repair? I have a customer with a Weaver K4 that has delaminated glass. He was quoted $150 from Vintage Gun Scopes but he's not really on board with shipping an heirloom. Or, perhaps someone has experience with Vintage Gun Scopes and might be able to offer a positive word?

    Thanks in advance.

Sending back to manufacturer could be an option.

If they don't do it ask them for a reference.

Weaver isn't around anymore. It's just like Redfield, someone bought the name but it's not the same company.
I don't have any personal history with Vintage Gun Scopes, but several months ago, I was looking to get a period-correct scope for my Remington 660 Magnum and several people on 24 Hour Campfire vouched for them as being very reputable.

You could buy an awfully nice, vintage K4 for less than $150.

If the scope body means something to them, buy another K4 with good lenses and swap them.
Those scopes were not sealed units, and can be taken apart for cleaning and cross hair repairs.
