Not too far from SE MI and he charges a very reasonable rate. I shipped one of my uppers to him for pinning because I didn't feel like making the drive and he had the work completed and back out the door within 24 hours.

I've had ADCO do work for me in the past, and even purchased a rifle from them ~20 years ago IIRC. Good people.

You can get a silver solder / flux kit from brownells and do it yourself.

Send it to ADCO in Ohio. I just sent my Sig 516 14.5" upper to them to have a brake pinned/welded. They did a great job and refinished the area where the pin/weld is so you cannot even tell it was p/w.

drove down there to ADCO thursday 6/25 and had it done. cannot even tell. best $38 i ever spent lol

I would go to D&D gunsmithing in Troy. I had them chop, pin and weld a mini 14 barrel for me years ago. Did nice work and was relatively inexpensive. **Duh...just read it was OP that posted the update.

Another vote for ADCO. I've sent my share of barrels to them before and they always have it done within 1-2 business days and prices are second to none.
