" The basic coverage is now up to $40,000 ($10,000 max single item and $5000 limit on ammo). No appraisal required, just maintain a list with serial numbers (I took pics also and save all info on One Drive).
The premium is $150 per year with a $100 deductible ."

Well, that certainly is a great deal on insurance for your firearms & accessories.. Talking to my USAA agent recently, I was asked about adding a ride ,rto cover certain valuables.
He mentioned firearms & I figured I'd ask for a quote. He asked for a value of my collection & I threw out a number..$20K ..
which on reflection, is probably a little low. After several minutes of him looking into a price, he told me about $40.00 month (!)

    $480 / yr... ? No thanks.
Maybe I should call them back & get another quote, then mention Eastern's policy & premium.

Thanks, constanza... for posting the info about Eastern.

Since I now have my auto and homeowners policy with Progressive,I asked them for a quote on just the K-80.The agent put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back and said $1375.00 for the year.
...That's higher than my auto policy!
    Obviously "Flo" doesn't like guns.

Those are excellent rates. From my notes with Collectibles Insurance, their quotes were roughly 10K / $90 / Year, 20K/170, and 30/240.
Obviously there are some other factors to consider in that, but generally speaking Eastern is beating Collectibles Insurance by a fair amount.

    *Corrected typo*

Eastern is $150.00 per year for $40,000.00 in coverage.

Collectibles Insurance Company: 20k of coverage for 170 per year.
Eastern Insurance company 40k of coverage for 150 per year.

    More coverage for less money.

I'm horribly sorry. My typo. I'm an idiot. I've corrected it.

    Not a problem,thanks.
At my age,I read everything two or three times to make sure I really read what I read.
    Then I ask the dog.
...He's not as old as I am,and has better vision.

    Thanks!
