    Shotgun choke help needed

I have a like new Belgium manufactured Browning Leige over and under that I bought new in 1981 . I will be putting on the market soon.

I need help/advice on determining what the chokes are on the barrels.... because I'm sure that will be information that a potential buyer would want.

Are there measurements I could do??? Or do you need specialized tools??

    Your input would be appreciated.

It will be marked on the left side of the barrel, most likely in a metric format.

Look for a number in the 18.2~18.4 range. We can go from there to determine what you have.

Have you ever thought of changing your handle to "Mr. Data"?

I have one of "those" memories, the subject has come up before. I have the recall to quickly find a reference from the best search words.

Kudos to you, sir. I guess that's how one ends up with over 21K posts. Now, I was gonna post something else ... but I can't remember.

Look for a stamp like this. This is on a 1960’s SxS 10ga I have. These stamps were found next to the hinge under the hand guard. For this particular gun, both my chokes were extra full or turkey depending on what source we looked at.

Hello and thanks for the help.

The top barrel is stamped 18.4 while the bottom barrel is 18.5

They are not marked as a ratio like in the picture that Fuel Fire Desire posted?

Because if it is not marked as a ratio, and you take the numbers as the choke to compare to a nominal bore diameter, of 18.52 you then have one Cylinder choke and one Skeet Choke.

Based on this this would be an ideal shotgun for skeet.

I need to make a correction, after rechecking my numbers. They would be Cylinder and Skeet chokes.
