1911 45 slide front sight opening

Got a USGI 1911 slide that someone has filled in the front sight hole. Did a fine job, you can't tell where the original was at and they used some hard material to fill it in. Anyone know of a smith or machinist that might be capable of restore the front sight hole to spec?
