I appreciate the quick responses and feedback you guys are awesome.
In the general area (couple hundred mile / day trip) https://prschallenge.com/
Which covers matches in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana and has the Great Lakes PRS match events.

Regionally and Nationally, the sanctioning folks are https://www.precisionrifleseries.com/profiles/clubs/CE. Pick a match, register, shoot, rinse, repeat. You don't need to be a member of PRS to shoot matches unless you want scores, ranking, etc. Or unless you want to support the organization. Membership is cheap.

In the PRS stuff I bounce around between NE, SE, and Midwest regions depending on travel, schedule, matches, how far I want to drive, etc.

Another layer in the foodchain is the NRL series. https://nationalrifleleague.org/
Getting really popular right now is the NRL 22 Rimfire stuff. Talking off like wildfire. Lots and lots of fun.

For you (based on your location in your OP) you are a short drive to one of the best facilities in the state. Check out MTC just north of Lake City. http://www.marksmanshiptrainingcenter.com/
They host most all of the Michigan PRS stuff.

All of the above is pretty popular as well on facebook if you speak social media as well.

Oh, and, welcome to the forum!

All my cerekote has been done by Danco411 in Fenton. For my money, nobody beats him. He's not close for you in GR however.
I had Danco411 do a can for me when he did his deal for them, I asked him when I started looking for someone for this project and he told me he was too busy with other work and was not offering coating service now.

Since there are providers within my normal travel circle I try to patronize them-thus far I have your suggestion and a quote from West Mi Cerakote, and they’re virtually the same cost and both seem like they do quality work-i just have to pull the trigger on one of them and drop of the barreled action so it gets done.

Admittedly, I haven't had anything done in the last year or so. Good to know if he's busy with other stuff. Call before jumping in the car to drop stuff off I guess.

Two other smith's to check out
-Fosnaugh Custom Rifles (http://www.fosnaughcustoms.com/). Eddie is located in Luna Pier (opposite side of the state from GR), does great work. Most of his business comes from Cerakoting for Trijicon, but he's a great machinist as well.
-5x5 precision https://www.facebook.com/5X5precision/ Chad is in Howell, engineer by trade, and over-all good guy. Also great work.

Spinner's Fit and Chamber, Justin, has left Michigan as his wife recently commissioned into the Navy with her first duty station at Lejeune. Not sure if he's set back up in NC yet or not. But he is also a great smith.

Thanks for the Spinners/Justin update-looks like WMC is it.

Quads once I get settled I’m going to check out MTC.

Westcliffe I think I’m going to go with Pierce. Probably going to ditch the 700 receiver and get one of their custom actions. They look top notch. Now if I can only get a Secretary of State appointment in a timely manner. They scheduled me out to November.

    All good choices.
Josh Moore / Michigan guy shoots F-Class, runs Pierce rifles. Several gold medals on his wall. F/TR Mid-range national champion. John Pierce does it right.
MTC is top notch. Also check out the PRS matches there. Tons of fun, bunch of of local guys. Really well run and organized.
