    That's a $700 gun today.

Keep in mind that GB prices are +shipping and +FFL fees. FTF sale incurs neither cost to the buyer, who was presumably prepared to spend a total of $XXX.xx on it net of those fees, which improves your possible profit margin while still meeting the buyer's budget goals.

there is nothing wrong with selling it for the most you can. If you want to be charitable, sell it for 1100 in a month, then donate $200 in ammo to an appleseed event for the kids. Sponsor a dozen kids, or whatever you like.

Don't give it away the guy with the nice story.

In normal times, yes, but people will be panicked. This not not a bargain hunt thing, you will wait 6 months. They need to walk home with a black rifle in their hand.

If local shops are sold out, the price on gun broker IS THE PRICE.

Anything less than gunbroker is a deal.

$20 cheaper then is the cheapest. If one sells for 1100 on gunbroker, and you offer it up for 1050 or 1080, then its a deal.

Interestingly, inflation seems to have hit the lower-end products far more vigorously than it has hit the mid- and upper-end versions.

I think people hang on to their good stuff, so not as much High End stuff for sale.

Times like this you flush the turds, for big money.

doubling a $600 gun still has it in the mind of a middle class guy as affordable.

Doubling a $2400 gun has middle class job bending over in pain.

No such thing as "too many".
There are no maximums. There is an unwritten law that requires you to own, as a MINIMUM, one firearm for every year old you are. For most people, by the time you are old enough to buy your own, you are at an 18 year deficit (if you don't have a generous uncle or something). Now, it doesn't matter what type of firearm it is, you can have a dozen ARs and EACH will count for the total.
