No idea, I chalked it up to use, by far my favorite pistol.
I've never kept a count but I know I've put 100rnds at least 3x a month for over 10 years dead minimum into that gun

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

if you can get 50,000 out of a barre or gun you did well.

You did minimum 36k if your estimation is correct. Most guns never see that so it is a wear item if you shoot into the tens of thousands.

How many times have you replaced the spring in your estimation ?

Only part ever to need replaced, put newer better spring in it about 2 years after buying just to upgrade

It was just shy of$400 after shipping and ffl fees. Father and I bought one each at the same time. Well worth every penny

Had a 1991 Colt that I shot the heck out of. Kept count of the rounds fired up to 45K by primer usage. Kept it a couple more years with no parts breakage before selling it to a friend that wanted it. I had replaced the plastic parts on it with metal ones and the grips with rosewood. Aside from that and the replacement recoil springs it was stock.
Don't think I've heard of a barrel bulge that wasn't caused by some sort of obstruction. What load were you using?
