black powder revolvers.. need an older expert.. on nipples 🤔

i was given a few older black powder replica revolvers. guessing from the late
70s or 80s. No box, no readily identifieable manufacturer .

neither of them came with nipples for the cylinders. i have a few piettas,
and a Ruger Old Army. Pietta nipples are too big, and ROA are a tad big,
and the thread is too course (standard 1/4×2.

Went googling, and there are quite a few different options.

I really dont want to order 6 different nipples (at $7-9 @) and then silly
    shipping.

Anyone have older, none typical type nipples that i could try?

Or maybe someone with a crap-ton of small metric taps that i could
use to find at least THAT information??

Redford/liv area, but willing to travel some..

You could take the cylinder (only) to a well stocked hardware store and try various screws in the nipple holes to discover what the thread size is.
Sorry, don't have answers to most of your questions, and I am too far away to let you screw my nipples in.

Do you know who made the it. Traditions, Pietta, Pederzoli? (sp?)

They are typically a #10 with a 6x1 or 6x3/4 thread. The best suggestion is the hardware store, if you don't have a friend that is a mechanic.

P.S. Nipples belong on a woman's breast, not a MANS gun.

thanks for the replies, guys... and even the anticipated boob reference..

the 6x75 and 6x1 are too fat. 1/4×28 are too course of a thread.

this is a stumper. might uncrate my gen 2 colt and try those

    UPDATE
So, i did take apart the Colt Gen 2. and surprise!! those were the same size.

to make everyone a little smarter.. the are .225-32 nipples.
