    Dovetail Macining Needed

Need some talented help here - I have a sporterized Mosin Nagant project I call the "FrankenMosin". The barrel was shortened and I cut a new crown on it, but need someone with a bit more skill than I to machine a dovetail for a front sight on it. Any suggestions out there ? Thanks in advance !

You cut a crown. The dovetail is pretty easy.

    exactly what I was thinking.
The only tool I'm guessing the OP might need to buy is a triangle file.

Take a triangle file and make one side safe (grind the cutting teeth off). See videos above. Easy peasy. Do them all the time by hand when building flintlocks.
