    I'm not going to argue any of the above comments, I'm simply saying that under the policy they "The insurance company" cannot abandon any salvage. The reason they allowed you to keep it is because they don't want the responsibilty to dispose of it. I've been on that end and it cost us "The insurance Co" almost as much to dispose/destroy w/validation of the firearms then we paid for them.

    Or...you could part them out and sell the parts on ebay. Might make more by parting them out.

    Cut up and throw away/turn the receivers in for salvage metal.
    No man made law physically prevents one from doing anything they have a mind to.
