    We've come across wounded animals while out hunting, camping, etc. but nothing even remotely close to this.

    Looks like they just took one backstrap. An animal like that is too good to eat in one sitting.


    To be serious, I know of a 3 legged Doe that raised twins 9 years in a row. It's amazing the trauma deer can endure.

    Dang! What a mess. I saw one shot up pretty bad one year... Rotting chunks on it's back and missing the lower jaw, looked like it had been raked by a heavy machine gun.
