    Astra 300 7.65 Photos added

An Astra model 300 7.65 made in Spain for the Wehrmacht along with the holster & two magazines. Taken from a Nazi officer by a relative after they had crossed the Rhine.
The 765 was a small caliber made for the luftwaffe, and high ranking officers. The serial number puts it as one of the latest ones manufactured. What would the value be for this?

Beautiful piece. I'm not sure about being able to ID the holster as authentic (shape certainly is right, not sure on the stamps), but if there are legit waffen stamps (shield with X in it with helmet on top) on the left rear side of the pistol you're looking in the $800-1,000 range depending on finding the right buyer. It certainly isn't as highly sought after as a P-08 or P-38, but that is in great shape and will be a fine piece in any collectors safe.

    Thank you for the reply.
I was starting to think there would be no interest. This piece was taken from an Nazi officer by an older cousin of mine after they had crossed the Rhine. and given to his mother, who passed it on to me before her passing. The holster has stamping on it. A circle with something embossed in it and some other markings. The only one I am familiar with is the Nazi eagle with wings spread. I have found similar holsters to be in the $500.00 price range.
    Civilian holster are lower priced.
The family is all gone and I am the only one left, so The time has came to do something with it.
It’s either sell it or donate it to a museum. I thank you for the time and your thoughts.

Very nice pistol. I think that the holster is for the Model 27, which is the German designation for the Czech, VZ 27 pistol. The pistol looks like a standard Astra, since I don't see the Waffenampt stamps on the pistol. IIRC, the stamps were on the left rear of the slide, and the left rear of the frame. Waffenampt marked guns are very rare in 32acp (7.65). A plain gun might be in the 400-500 area, while a stamped gun should be double that.

The Astra300 in 7.65 is less common than the 9mmK version (roughly 1/3 as many shipped). According to Antaris, few, if any of the 7.65 version were stamped with a Waffenamp for whatever reason. The serial number ranges are available, but I don't have them handy.
Yes, appears the holster was for a CZ pistol. Still period correct and a nice rig.

    Further Information

Comments by the three gentlemen have caused me to do more research, for proof of the authenticity of the set. I know the history as they were taken together by a relative. So I found the 300 was shipped to the wernmark in three calibers with the 7.65 for the Luftwaffe. The serial number 612932, the walnut grips along with the 300 not receiving an acceptance mark verify the authenticity. There is a mark which is the date of manufacture which I don’t know how to interpret. Holster has some stamping which includes a Nazi eagle.
I am enclosing photos that are close up, and a link for those with any interest. The pink tag was always attached to the trigger guard until the string broke.

    Quote, from handguns and ammunition
The Luftwaffe, however, managed to get its preferred 7.65 Browning caliber delivered (7-round mags). Almost 22,000 were delivered to the German air force during 1944, with serial numbers running from 593001 to 615800. These were not given a Waffenamt mark, and - according to Gene Gangarossa's Spanish Handguns - the last ones were delivered to the German air force in France on July 21, 1944.

The "O" proof mark signifies 1944 manufacture.
