I have had 20+ drama free sales through Armslist over the last couple months and most of those buyers had never heard of MGO. This isn't a knock on MGO at all but more of an acknowledgement of the reach that Armlist has gotten by being in the news and coming up on google searches.

No scam attempts, no sketchy buyers, no drama, etc. If the site does survive I really hope they improve the performance/searching to make it more useful.

Their search sucks I typed Ruger 308 and get 9mm ammo, pistols from other companies, bullet proof vests, sks barrels and other items not associated with my search. I have even refined my search to the rifle category.

I've had a good number of deals there also. It's a shame they've messed it up.

I am still waiting for my account to be activated since 10/22. I wanted to reply to several ads on there and cannot, unless the seller slipped in their email or phone number.

I have an earlier post that I’ll duplicate here that shows how to bypass their search and continue using the power search - for now.

BTW you can still use power search this whole time as they haven't disabled the link based API - just the UI.

So get your search set up for location, gun type (rifle, pistol etc) then add like the following to the end of your URL: &tag=[insert your criteria].

Such as for 308:

&tag=308-winchester&tag=308-762-nato

6.5 Creedmoor:
&tag=65-creedmoore

Bolt action: &tag=bolt-action
Lever action: &tag=lever-action

etc etc
