Out now myself looking for venison to fill the freezer, it’s getting dangerously low.

Good luck and stay safe all!

Been out since 0630 and I haven't seen a thing. But I've heard well over 30 shots around me in 2 hours.
    My turn is soon

I ain’t seen nothing but it’s good to be here and I wrote a poem while sitting in my blind.

    Deer Camp 2020

Twenty twenty, what a messed up year.
It’s November fifteenth and we’re all here.

    Bats caused Kung Flu.
    Wait, you voted for who?

These arguments have become such a bore.
Why amongst ourselves do we start this war?

Let’s isolate in the woods and just shut up.
As dark becomes dawn maybe it’ll bring that buck.

Opening day starts with politics and rain.
I’m now in my blind but is it in vain?

Very few gunshots break the silence.
Even the woods are tired of violence.

The pitter patter drums my blind.
Thoughts of this world leave my mind.

Focus shifts to peace amongst the breeze.
I sit in my chair and take my ease.

It’s good to be here with family and friends.
Up here at deer camp is where my soul mends.

The older I get the more I know.
I’m only along for the ride, God’s in charge of this show.

My oldest got his first deer today about 1pm, watched 4 walk right up to the blind. Had to wait for them to separate they were walking so close together.
    13y/o so proud
