    Percussion shotgun help

I picked up an old 28ga, looking for some loading help. I got 2 kinds of fiber wads with it and a pkg of wounder wads. If I use the fiber wads do I grease the wad on top of the powder. Any help is appreciated

I’m going by memory and am not a black powder shooter, but as I recall you place a over powder card on the powder charge, then the greased wad, then the shot followed by the over shot card.
I’m sure if I’m wrong someone with more knowledge then me will speak up

    You have it exactly right.

The fiber card that is usually greased and is a little spongy like a cushion wad really isn't needed at all. It is only there to take up the space difference of the bulk between modern powders and BP. They weren't used in BP shells.
