Looking for any help identifying a sporterized Mauser. This is my father-in-law’s rifle and we cannot for the life of us figure it out. It doesn’t seem to have any easily identifiable markings but it has markings. I have some pictures that I can pass along.

It doesn't have a number/letter code on top of the receiver? Any Waffenamts, Nazi eagles or crests? Remove the action from the stock, should be markings on the underside of the barrel.
