Maybe a Democrat cosponsor could do that for us.

Bill was presented to the governor on 10/29. Any guesses as to when we'll know whether she intends to sign or veto it?
We are all waiting with bated breath…it isn't veto-proof, but does she want to alienate a large population of her voters in an upcoming election year? What justification would she have to veto a bill that has a number of testified supporters and no opposition (aside from other elected officials in the minority)?
As previously stated, it takes nothing away from her "powers", rather, it makes all municipalities fall back on the State directives/laws.
On the other hand, the state allowance of "switchblades" and such came under the Snyder administration.
We will find out by a week from today...

Looks like she vetoed it on 11/5.
Hopefully this gets re-introduced and sees similar levels of bipartisan support after Whitmer gets replaced, whether in 2023 or 2027....
