    may be a problem with clearances of fitted parts..if sights, extractor, firing pin plate, etc..were removed prior to coating,.
    care to seal these areas would be required, as powder coat would close up tight tolerances were parts are fitted, and prevent parts from being reinstalled..
    or require parts to be -refitted...that's my thought.
    Powdercoat, when properly applied, is a very durable finish..I've used it on m/c parts with good results.
