The rear sight on my 1903 has excessive windage movement . Does anyone have a tip of how to snug it up a little without resorting to a rubber band ?
Thanks , Jack

They had a couple of different rear sites. Please choose one.

Parts to rebuild it or complete replacements are available on eBay.

Your windage screw threads may be worn.

That picture looks like the one on the rifle . When I put that sight and new windage screw in it a while ago there was a very slight amount of left to right movement if you touched it . Now it doesn't take a touch to move it , just recoil . Since I don't adjust this sight , how would it wear ? Out of spec parts to start with ?
Thanks , Jack
Non hardening lock tite(maybe)on the screw(just a dab).
