Purchased a used Rossi R92 lever action in 44. When at the range, I found that if I loaded more than 3 rounds, the cartridge catch would not release the next round when cycling. Between YouTube and other forums I found that the "catch finger" was slightly too long and would not move far enough to release the next round when closing the action.

First I verified how far the catch had to move to clear the round by eye, then removed the magazine spring and follower, I opened the action and used a small file to trim the "finger" down a bit. Trial and error 3 times before it cycled without issue. I used a small screwdriver tip behind the catch to hold it out so it would not move when filing. Amazingly quick and easy!
