    I rember seeing the John Wayne ammo too.
    Had forgot about him, until your post reminded me.
    I believe I saw some JW pictured ammo FS on Gunbroker recently.
    Naturally, it was "cowboy" calibered ammo.

    I've seen 2 full boxes of it, with a John Wayne rifle(had a badge with his face on the stock and of course his large loop lever) for sale at cabelas in Grandville months ago.
    Ammo was only sold with the rifle

    You can buy John Wayne ammo without buying a rifle. There's been various versions of it over the years.

    No man made law physically prevents one from doing anything they have a mind to.

    I bought a few boxes of John Wayne 44-40 to go with my grandfathers 1892. I never shot any of the Wayne ammo and seldom shot grandpa's gun but it sure is cool to have!
