    I cleaned my trigger assembly with tooth brush with dish soap under hot running water. Dry it off good and put some light oil on it. Being doing it that way for 30 years and never a problem.

    I suspect if you have access to a sonic cleaner, you could do that as well, dry thoroughly, and put a light coat of oil on it.
    Soap, toothbrush and oil as mentioned above too.
