Carbine gas tube and hole orientation to bend

I recently did a build with gas tube from expo arms (Primary arms in-house label).
The hole in the tube and pin holes were oriented 45deg from the bend in the tube.

I assume this is wrong? All my other length gas systems installed with the bend at a 90 above barrel for perfect alignment in upper rec.

Well, could it be they sent you the wrong part,Or it's possible that whom is the maker goofed.
