Anyone use this AR-15 thumb rest on forearm?

Accessories and personalizing your build is part of the fun when building a new gun. I came across this thumb rest in a pic of a foregrip. A little digging and I found the product.
It looks really cool. Reviews sound good too.
I'm looking for a few black bits to add contrast to the gun I just painted in bronze.
    Anyone use one?

Looks to me like a solution in search of a problem but to each his own.

Yep. My Duracoat finish was the same.
Why would anyone anyone pay extra for the blued version of a shotgun if the painted one wasn't a problem. Manufacturers offer many levels of guns (trucks, lawn mowers, etc) with different trim color, options, materials etc. Why wouldn't we all buy the most basic of everything if they all preformed the same job. This is a hobby. Sure would be boring if everyone's gun looked the same.

I prefer the Arisaka finger stop. I mount it to position between my index & middle finger. It’s minimal in size but it gives me a consistent grip on the forearm and helps pulling the rifle into my shoulder. It also gibes my FDE handguard a little black contrast.

To me it's just another item that will not improve my shooting skills.

My thumb rest on my rifle light presser pad. Function over gizmo.

Pressure pads are gizmos. Orient your light so the thumb switch is at your thumb. One less gizmo to fail and/or get in the way ...

A bottle opener gimmick is better than this. Yeesh.

20200709_195901_Film3.jpg Well, That's where my thumb gos, so I place the presser switch there. Could it fail sure. It works for me. No "gizmo" here.
