    Talking Meet: The Dootler

    Why does it say Oregon.
    I'm in the midst of getting out. I have some family in the rough area of Grand Rapids and loved visiting; so it's high time I leave the inflated prices of Oregon and its dry summers and come enjoy the summer rains and the powdery snow. Whitmer is definitely trying to convince me not to come, but I figure a purple state means I can pretend my vote matters.

    It's also up to each generation to have their own adventure and while I could attempt to help revive the hunting groups my dad took part in in eastern Oregon or build new ones here; it's time I get out of where I've been and meet new people; assuming the govt covid restrictions ever let up .

    Just what is a dootler.
    Well I have the pleasure of describing it to you. I've taken to using the noun "Dootler" to describe what others may call "thingys", "Whatchamacallits", "whosawhatsits", or similar.

    My chickens? -> Dootlers.
    Current noun I can't think of? -> "can you toss this in the uh.. dootler?"

    You get the idea. So I am, to you, just another Dootler.

    I honestly can't be sure if I made it up or where I heard it. I feel like I started using it as short hand for Chickens because of rooster crows -> "Cocka-dootle-doo"; but I can't be sure it wasn't already in the ether.

    And thank you kindly!

    That is probably from an auto-fill feature on your machine. It can be changed in your user control panel.

    Many thanks for the greeting!

    I was having fun with the introduction; so that quote is more of a "Why is this guy from oregon on here?" answer kinda thing.
