Concern about an FFL transfer and no response

So I been doing all my transfers through a home based FFL since roughly 2013. Last week I forgot to contact him to let him know there was an item coming in, first time I forgot. Well my transfer was delivered to this FFL on Saturday, Signed, and normally I would be contacted right away to set up an appointment for the transfer. Its now Wednesday and still no response, when I call I get a "voicemail box not set up", haven't heard back from my email either. I think he has kids, its spring break time, with all the madness going on in the industry he could be backlogged, hopefully there wasn't a tragic event. Many things could be going on, not sure when/how/if escalation is needed? Guy has been amazing to work with for all these years so I highly doubt he suddenly is upto no good.

Guess i'm just curious if this should be a huge concern, or if i wait a bit.

Not necessarily. If he received an inbound transfer with no info and no advance contact by you, he won't know what to do with it. Normally, a phone call would resolve that, but if his voice mail is full, you simply need an alternate means of contact. Fax number? Use that. If all else fails, send him a letter via USPS.

Oh no... now your gun is infected.....

You will have to be quarantined when you pick it up.

That sounds like my FFL guy. He just got out of the hospital also. I have been waiting since March 26 to pick up a new pistol. I can wait more, I'm just happy he is back home now and OK. That's one good way for the government to delay gun sales. Give Covid out to all licensed FFL dealers...............
