I wonder if active shooter alarms could backfire in the event of a structure fire. I could see someone mistaking one for a fire alarm, and then everyone "locks down" instead of getting out of the burning building. Hopefully they're visually VERY distinct from a fire alarm.

Interesting, but I don't see a need for MGO to take a position on this.

The org doesn't need to take a position, unless we can spot an issue. But the membership should be aware.

So they are wasting their time on something that is not even in place yet. I just love how our government work. Lets put the cart before the horse...

How about a $25,000 reward and immunity for someone who stops an active shooter? Just asking....
