How in the h*** don't you see the bore site on the gun when you remove it from the case? This wasn't something stuck in the barrel it was on the end on the gun and it's red in color.

I don't know the true story behind the pics.. they were posted together on another site that I frequent.
I wondered this a bit myself, as it would appear most the energy was expended near the muzzle..tried to imagine how the injuries sustained in the posted picture may have occurred.
The final pic does emphasize the need to always exercise caution when pulling the trigger, IMO
as far as , " How in the h*** don't you see the bore site on the gun when you remove it from the case?"
my thought was the shooter probably inserted the bore sighter at the range, then adjusted the scope, & fired the gun w/o remembering to remove the bore sighter.
only way I could see this happening.
That barrel is straight out of Loony Tunes! Only seen that on Bugs Bunny, and the cartoon nailed it!

Ever wonder how many ramrods have gone down range?
..not that unusual with a bore obstruction..
My Club (O.C.S.C.) has several rifles displayed on the walls in the main clubhouse that are very similar in appearance to the picture posted in the first post.
