Hello, I'm Kevin from Alaska. I'm retired from the Army after 27 years and semi retired overall. My daughter and future SIL are asking us to move to Michigan to be closer to everyone.

I'm joining here because I'd like to learn more about the state of Michigan and its gun laws. We visited the Grand Rapids area once and I'm looking at property prices. Your opinion and experience with the MI state laws is what I'm interested in mostly. Not that I don't love talking guns.

My interests include black powder, all rifles black or otherwise, hunting, fishing, reloading shooting skills for defense...

Here in Alaska we have very good laws with regard to 2A, carry etc. Biggest challenge here is the ammo/reloading supplies must come up on a barge due to hazmat. So we can't order online even when those items available.

I look forward to getting to know some of you.
