Has anyone used Birchwood Casey Super Blue? What was the results, I have some small touch up on the backstrap of a Ruger Mk III pistol.
I use it often to recoat areas I have to file to fit parts. It works well. The finish comes out as a matte black, and is instant. Just be sure the area is absolutely clean of grease and oil. I use a Q tip to apply. I’d recommend using gloves too. It eats skin up if you get it on you.
Thanks UPDATE I did the cold blue project today....it turned out great. Someone posted that the blue would be flat black, I followed instructions and used 000 steel wool between coats and it turned out perfect. I don't know how long lasting the blue will be, but it looks great right now. Thanks everyone for some tips.
