Is there some secret to loading these things to make the reliable?
If you just bought the gun run some rounds. Took a few mags for mine to break in. If not, the only time after that I had an issue was when I put the first round in on the bump not on the low part of the follower.
I tap the back of them after every 10 rounds or so to get the rims pushed all the way to the back. I've never had a mag issue with my PMR-30, but plenty of cycling issues with the wide variation of 22 mag loads
I bought a nesting loader from Amazon made by a local Michigan company. Drop a round in the slot, and press down on the mag, it snaps the round in and shoves it back into proper position. No issues with my PMR or CMR since.
