I like to use vintage rifles for the early antlerless weekend (this weekend). Last year I used my dad's Savage 99 in 303 Savage made in 1903. Killed a doe with it. This year I'm thinking my Winchester 94 30WCF made in 1940, or my 80's vintage Marlin 375.

For regular firearm season, I'm thinking a Savage 99c in 308.

Ruger American Ranch 450 Bushmaster again.
I was going to try a 350, but I already have this ready to go.

I will be using my Western Field (Mossberg) 20 gauge pump with smooth bore slug barrel that I call Thumper.

Bought this gun over 35 years ago and it has taken many a deer.
For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
