I'm thinking my yearly Black Friday gun purchase from Top Gun will be a hunting rifle [or at least a gift card to buy one] and I'm conflicted between a either a Winchester Model 70 Alaskan or Super Grade Maple. The Maple is a "Shot Show Exclusive" so I have the idea it might be harder to come by. I like that the Alaskan has iron sights, but I wish it had a stock with an end cap like the Super Grades do. I know I could get a new stock from Boyd's, would that be cheaper and/or easier than having someone cut the tip off the stock stock and put an ebony or black plastic tip on it?
Thank you for your time.
