That makes one compare City Size: Michigan Cities by Population

As for ordinance (my location) that starts at the Township, County, State.
Then you also have Towns and Villages, in the chain of events.
Local politics can play an important role in what can and cannot be accomplished in some areas.

One important item is Hunting is 1st in Michigan, you always hear gun shots in hunting areas.

    Consider building a shooting berm.
Some think shooting into a treed back stop is safe!
and forget about folks working/hiking in the back ground (down range).

No realtor I’ve ever come across has any idea when asked nor were they really interested in researching-it’s not really something they have ready access to or experience with unless they’re some sort of specialist-but then again, isn’t that what the lawyer would be? Also, one taking advice from a realtor on legal matters is hardly getting advice worth taking. No offense to the reality professionals but it’s like a 40 hour course vs. asking legal advice from someone who has a JD, passes the Bar and practices Law as a profession. I’d ask the Lawyer.

Both houses I've bought, I regret even getting an realtor, waste of money! I'm still not sure why we bother with these people, what do you gain? If you let them source your houses to look at, I get that. But I've found my own place but was informed I needed a realtor just to get an appointment to view it. I think both realtor and realtor estate agent are both free to lie and speculate as much as they want to make a sale.

I know they lie about historical stuff, the ability to put a rental on the property, an addition, cut down trees etc. It's all on you. You do your due diligence. Buy or not, but if you buy, they get paid, they you deal with historical commission, epa, building department whatever. If you have any problem they will block you tell you never to call again or come to their office. It's all on the buyer.
