Please, would someone tell me how a "fishing knife" differs from most any other knife, out side of that a person is using it while fishing.

I've never used a knife to fish.
I think they are trying to mean fillet knives. They all have a long blade, 6" to 11" and violate all the knife laws. I have about 10 of them. In every tackle box (I have 5-6), in the boat, in the ice fishing gear. I always worry about having them in the car when going ice fishing, and on me when shore fishing.
