    2022 turkey hunting regs

Does anyone have any idea why the DNR is not allowing turkey hunting in such a large portion of the norther LP?

What areas are you talking about? I don't know the numbers from last year but areas A, F, J and K have 4500 to 5500 maximum license quotas. K has two. If that isn't correct, let us know.

I only know of folks eating the breast-the rest isn’t edible being too greasy and gamey.

Yes, we breast it out and the legs and thighs are used for dog food as well as broth for the dogs. I have never been energetic enough to clean a bird for roasting whole.

A young tom I will pluck like a chicken and bake him in a baking bag. All is edible and I especially like the thighs. Legs are good but do have tendons you have to eat around!!!

Old birds, I thing the best part is the breast

Acquired a Ninja Foodi air fryer/pressure cooker. Made excellent turkey tacos using only legs/thighs by using the pressure cooker. Not hard to research on youtube. Still have the breasts to look forward to, will probably smoke them.
