Magnum Research BFR in 45-70 input sought.

Looking at a BFR in 45-70 and doing some research on them. About the only quality issue I have ran across so far is that the Cylinder has a tendency to not lock up correctly/consistently when cocking it. If this is so, I was wondering if production date has any effect on this? Is it something that was corrected in later years and if so when did Magnum Research make corrections? Also, from what I am reading, this only applies to the 45-70? Thoughts on this and/or an overall review of this "little" shooter would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance gang

Thank you Sir!! I did get ahold of Kahr/Magnum Research and was told that the issue with failure to lock-up properly only effected a few BFR's and was corrected many years ago. This is looking better all the time!
