Awesome! I'm happy to see a new (redesigned?) full-sized steel frame auto hit the market. I'm sure it will be a hit.
My only complaint on a HP is it really needs a undercut trigger guard.
guess if Springfield could bring it back..why not FN ?
Does the newest version look more 1911-like ? or is it just me ?
FN redesigned their version.. I love what they did with the internals, the straight trigger and the beaver tail extension.. They addressed all weak points of the original design and enhanced it.. They even added the signature thumb stump..love it
That’s one F’d up HP. Hard pass.
No thanks. They changed everything. The standard Hi Point barrel, trigger, internals, sights, and mags won't work. Plus the price is insane. If they wanted to justify that price and all of the changes they could have made it a full tac model with a threaded barrel and suppressor sights, and an optics cut. This half way design between the old one and a new tactical one is something nobody wants, or needs.
EAA and Tisas both make great clones of the original, there's zero reason to buy one of FN's overpriced new ones.

Maybe with multiple companies bringing out a new steel frame Hi-Power, someone will bring back a copy of the Browning BDM. Probably not, but you never know.
I do wonder if the market has become over saturated with plastic gripped handguns, and people buying their 3rd or 4th 9mm want something a little "different". The sig P320 with the aluminum AXG grip seem to be quite popular, despite costing hundreds more than the plastic gripped P320.
