I have an 18" Daniel Defense V7 Pro. It is essentially my long range zombie gun. I'm looking for scopes that don't break the bank in 3-9 or 4-12 magnification. Thanks!

What is your price range? Reticle preference? Illuminated reticle?
Without knowing more, Leupold Mark AR is a solid scope and would meet your stated needs. Discontinued but still widely available, supplanted by VX something (3HD? Freedom?). 3-9 or 4-12 are options.
Vortex PST Gen II can be had at good prices, especially if you’re good with the less popular reticle options. I got a 3-15 illuminated reticle for under $700 to my door last month. You can find similar deals on Burris XTR2 now that XTR3 exists.
If you want BDC, the high end offerings from Primary Arms with the various ACSS reticles might meet your needs. I think these are the Japanese rather than Chinese ones.
Some of the current crop of good 1-10x scopes seem appealing for a do-all rifle and might merit consideration.
I put a Crimson Trace 3-18 on my 16" LaRue stealth. Midway had them for $700 last year. LaRue 34mm QD C.A.N. mount. Really sweet combo.
