Thread: S&W 66-1 value

  1. #1

    S&W 66-1 value

    A friend inherited this S&W model 66-1.
It's NIB. Still has original paper wrap, etc.
4", SS, never fired except by factory.
    What would this be worth?
    He's thinking about selling.
    Thanks.

The box label says stainless steel, this will be valued differently than nickel plating.

If it has all this, and condition matches, this was a no reserve auction on GB in the middle of last month.

It would not be something I would sell.

Not quite THAT much. SS is the correct finish. Is the box serial the same as the revolvers?

    He's not a gun guy.
I suggested he just put it away.
    Ball is in his court.
Once again thank you for the info.

    Serial numbers match.

I bought a 66 no dash in about 1975 new from a dealer for about $250.

To the OP, it's worth $500…I have cash in-hand, let me know when and where!
